STANDARD DEBIT ORDER - SOUTH AFRICA

PAYM8 allows you to automatically and electronically debit your clients’ accounts for once-off and recurring collections.  This eliminates the ongoing expense of accepting payments through the traditional paper and EFT (Electronic funds transfer) methods. It is an effective and safe alternative to receiving money by cash, by cheque or stop order.

 

OVERVIEW

The South African Reserve Bank requires a signed mandate whereby your client gives you authority to electronically deduct funds from his or her bank account. This mandate can be in writing or a voice recording.

  1. The PAYM8 Collect Platform enables you to submit your standard debit order request through our secure gateway, for processing into the banking environment.
  2. Accommodating a same-day debit order service, as well as a two-day debit order service, we aim to provide you with maximum flexibility and allow you to implement a strategy that is ideally suited to a specific business environment.
  3. In South Africa, standard debit orders can be processed on any work day, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
INSTALLATION
  1. The PAYM8 Collect website can be accessed through the internet using any device or browser.
  2. Installation of the PAYM8 client application can be done anywhere in South Africa. Business owners will only be charged for one installation. No additional fees will be incurred for multiple users.
